LED Full Forms is Light Emitting Diode. LED is a pn-junction diode that produces light as it passes through an electric current in the way forward. The recombination of charge carriers takes place in the LED. The n-side electrons and p-side holes mix and provide energy in the form of light and heat. The LED is produced from a colorless semiconductor material, and the light is radiated through the diode junction. Depending on the semiconductor material used and the doping amount, a colored light will be emitted at a specified spectral wavelength when the LEDs are forward biased.

Light emitting diode semiconductors are light producers that combine a type P semiconductor with a high concentration of holes and a type N semiconductor with a high concentration of electrons. Applying an appropriate forward voltage to the p-n junction will cause the electrons and holes to recompose and release energy in the form of light.
